I am Brianna Patton, but many call me Bri. I am a senior here at Arizona State University earning my degree in Public Service Public Policy with a certificate in Public Leadership and Ethics. I will be graduating in May of 2016.
I was able to do my internship with the California Senate Minority Leader Bob Huff who represents the 29th Senate District of California.
Through this internship I hope to achieve 3 goals:
1. To gain a better understanding of case work with constituents.
2. To gain a larger professional network.
3. To learn if this type of work is something I would like to do long-term.
Hi Bri. I appreciate your mention of wanting to gain a better understanding of if you want to work in this kind of environment for the long-term. I've always felt like everyone else knew exactly how they will be using their degree with the utmost confidence, where as I've always been more uncertain about it. I appreciate your open minded-ness!

ReplyDeleteHi Bri! We have a lot in common. I too am a Senior pursuing a degree in Public Services and Policy with a certificate in Leadership and Ethics. My internship is in DC with a national organization that lobbies for attorneys who represent persons with disabilities. Like you, I am searching for answers about what my life will look like after I graduate and what path to pursue. I am learning a lot but I am still searching for my path. Washington, DC is definitely a different environment but I am excited to be here.
